Manufacture Attributed to Fontana Arte

The twelve signs of the Zodiac are etched into the centre panels of the thick glass plates which are framed with a border of horizontal etched lines.
Gio Ponti used this Zodiac motif in a number of his designs which were manufactured by Fontana Arte during the 1930's including occasional tables and a plaffonier.

Large panel: height 179 cm width 89 cm (70 x35 in)
Two smaller panels: height 173.5 cm width 73.5 cm (68 x 29 in)
